We were asked to produce a spectacular evening's entertainment for a six-week run of Christmas dinners that were being organised by é─˙The Christmas Companyé─¨. These were to take place in a very large thousand-seater marquee in Bracknell.
The venue is hired over this time by a variety of companies for their Christmas parties and present a very mixed demographic from male over fifties to female eighteen year olds and everything in between so the show really had to appeal to everyone.
The client specifically wanted the entertainment to extend through the entire evening, from the arrival of the guests right through until the dancing started!
We provided three bar acts: juggling, handstands and hoop as a taster of what was going to happen later.
There was then a call to dinner involving the whole cast. This was designed to get the guests from the bar area into the dining area as quickly as possible.
Once the guests were seated there was a chinese pole act, followed during the courses by a corde lisse act and then an adagio act.
At the end of dinner there was a spectacular twenty-minute finale with dance, trapeze, web rope, rhythmic gymnastics and synchronised silks.
Impact Artists produced all of the entertainment provided. This involved everything from writing the initial concept, casting the show, costume design, accommodation booking, rigging and health and safety, direction and choreography, laundry, music sourcing and editing, and the multitude of other things that go to make up a full show.
